Design is one those things that is every where, but no one notices, or rather thinks about. From the chair that I’m sitting in, to the header above; it was all designed. Obiovusly, the types of media which things can be designed in are very vast. But the thing that isn’t so obvious is the amount of effort put in to each design. I’m not really talking about time, although it does matter. What I mean by effort is the amount of thought used while designing.
There are some designs that are obviously made worse for commercial use. To buy some thing thats good, but not the best, makes the consumer want the best more (Those greedy Americans). No, thats wrong. The consumer will attempt to buy the best if possible. He will only settle of the average. I don’t think very many will go back and by the best when they can afford it; unless its a TVs, computers, and the like.
I leave you with this: how much time do you spend thinking about the design? Is it for a commercial use?
